Summary
We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the ghd PMO team.
This role will be responsible for project managing the development of ghd Visual Merchandising assets (for Premium & Travel Retail and Professional Salon), packaging and other product development projects as and when requested.
This is a far reaching role, with end to end accountability for multiple projects running concurrently. It is truly cross functional, international and will require an experienced project manager with excellent communication skills. The role will be based in London.
What will I do?
- Management of the Packaging strategy working closely with internal teams to deliver premium packaging solution through all our ghd product portfolio
- Management of the Global VM strategy working closely with partnered suppliers, internal teams and ghd markets to deliver premium VM solution through Premium & Travel Retail and the salon channel
- Supporting the head of project management in other areas of project management, potentially including Promotions, New Product Development and other business improvement projects.
- Manage the relationships in terms of design activities and communication across departments and externally with suppliers and other stakeholders
- Working with various ghd teams on developing work packages and managing timelines & costs of projects
- Making sure all key stake holders take responsibility for their tasks and all key milestones/deadlines are met to execute and deliver the projects on time
- Act as the contact point for any supplier issues affecting packaging design / VM design, manufacture and installation work that supports the planned strategy
- Manage the relationship with the VM partners and act as main point contact for all VM design development and installation.
- Coordinate weekly project status meetings with internal teams and highlight any bottle necks of workload or issues
- Provide minutes for all project status meetings and make sure actions are implemented
What skills and qualities will I need?
- Significant Project management experience in a fast moving, complex environment
- Extensive management experience within a design focused role with an emphasis on packaging and/or consumer electronics business or similar
- Specific experience in supplier relationship management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Persuasive communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Must be organised and self-motivated
- An eye for detail and design awareness
- Excellent communicator both verbally and in written form
- Ability to understand commercial priorities and respond accordingly
