Summary

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Systems Administrator to support our London Kings Cross office. You will gain exposure to some of the latest technologies including VR, AR, 5G, Machine Learning and Low Powered Wide Area Networks, supporting Windows Desktop and Server OS, Linux and macOS systems whilst providing a first-class support service to internal team members. You will have responsibility for all the laptops throughout the estate managing them through configuration management solutions. You will also get experience in working with a cloud-first approach to IT infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintaining and supporting all IT desktop, Server and Cloud systems as necessary to provide a resilient, effective and flexible IT environment for the business. Be a point of escalation to the desktop team for infrastructure issues and changes. Identify ways to automate repetitive tasks to cut down on waste time within the team
  • Assist Senior IT team members on project delivery and participate as a project resource when required
  • Assist the Senior Systems Administrators and Leadership Team to administer our fleet of laptops through automation tools such as MS Endpoint Manager, JSS and Auto Pilot
  • Ensure that all helpdesk tickets / incidents are resolved in line with company service level agreements. Escalating to the Senior Infrastructure Engineer any issues with services that do not meet the respective service or project delivery targets
  • Maintaining an infrastructure and software inventory system to provide adequate information for equipment management, replacement, licensing and insurance
  • Completing any other relevant IT duties as required by the IT Management Team

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of technical support in a Windows Desktop and Server, Linux (Ubuntu) and macOS environment.
  • Experience in managing a fleet of laptops using JAMF and MS Endpoint Manager and an awareness of endpoint configuration management solutions including Casper and Terraform
  • Good understanding of Networking and working knowledge of Cisco hardware / IOS
  • Scripting awareness in Bash, PowerShell or Python
  • Good all-round technical knowledge of operating systems, software, hardware and networking
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident in mentoring junior team members in technical and soft skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies
  • Ability to work on own projects as well as assisting on delivering team objectives
  • Having a working knowledge of Agile and Scrum Methodology
  • Working experience of an ISO27001 organisation highly desirable
