Anglia Components today announced that it has achieved Cyber Essentials certification confirming the quality and robustness of its IT systems. Cyber Essentials was launched by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre. It is designed to help businesses of any type or size protect themselves from the most common types of cyber-attack, such as ransomware, password guessing and network attacks. The scheme’s requirements are divided into five core themes: firewalls; secure configuration; user access control; malware protection and security update management. The assessment covers the entirety of a business’s IT infrastructure, including devices that are used for working remotely. Businesses that meet the criteria are added to a listed directory of certified organisations.
It is planned that the requirements for businesses will evolve to meet the ever-changing challenges of cyber-security.
