EMC testing of EV Chargers

Looking for testing and certification of your electric vehicle supply equipment?

RN Electronics can undertake UKAS testing and certification services for many types of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) to Regulation 10.06 which covers specific requirements for the EMC testing and certification of Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), particularly the components that interface to the mains power supply or off-vehicle charging equipment.

EMC tests required for electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) are performed to EN 61851-1 referencing EN 61000-6-3 for Emissions and EN 61000-6-1 Immunity. EMC testing of your EVSE ensures that the electronics do not emit interference, and they shall continue to function within its electromagnetic environment..
