You're invited to trial Easel, a VR app for stress-relief funded by Innovate UK.
At a recent Cambridge Wireless' event at Digital Catapult, Animorph gave a talk and presented their work on Easel, a VR experience that immerses the player in an audiovisually enchanting, underwater world, through which they can swim freely, and develop a caring relationship with an other-wordly sea creature, named Easel.
Based on their research into stress- and pain-relief using VR, Animorph built a prototype which had a calming and relaxing effect on people who tried it. With Innovate UK's support, Animorph is dedicated to upgrading and transferring their existing prototype to wireless VR headsets such as Vive Focus 3 or Pico 4 Enterprise which have hand tracking built-in. There's a lot at stake: 79% of UK adults frequently experience work-related stress.
Animorph is actively looking for companies who would like to trial 1 or 2 headsets with their employees over the course of a week in April or May. Animorph will dispatch the headset with the pre-installed app for free, and all feedback data will be anonymous.
