Congratulations to the team of four from EBCam Ltd who took part in a world first event, the London Landmark’s Skyscraper Challenge, to raise money for Tommy’s charity. They completed a 'tower run' up 42 floors of 'The Cheesegrater' followed by a jaw dropping 200 meter abseil down the building.

'Team EBCam’ was comprised of Laurie, James, Simina and Kate.  Sunday 10th September was a hot day and our team did incredibly well to complete their ‘tower run’ up 42 floors of The Leadenhall Building in the City of London (better known as ‘The Cheesegrater’) so quickly. As they went up, they were given the heights they had reached in terms of other structures: Space X (50 m), Statute of Liberty (93 m), Battersea Power Station (113 m), St Pauls Cathedral (111 m).

Next came the frightening part as they took part in the UK’s highest freefall abseil. This was also the first time a freefall abseil had taken place at the Cheesegrater.  Laurie, James, Simina and Kate abseiled a jaw dropping 200 meters down the building, to raise money for Tommy’s.

Tommy’s are a national charity that aim to help save babies lives. 1 in 4 women will lose a baby during pregnancy or birth and Tommy’s believe every baby lost is one too many. Tommy’s fund pioneering medical research to discover the causes of baby loss and provide people at every stage of their pregnancy journeys with expert information and care.
