SGS Add Wi-Fi for “Over The Air” Antenna Test Laboratory
Mobile devices capable of converged 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) technologies (e.g. GSM,UTRA (3G) and E-UTRA (LTE)) and Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n) are required to undergo RF Performance Evaluation under industry schemes including the Wi-Fi Association and the PTCRB (Mobile Network Operators Certification Forum) alongside many Network Operators internal conformance requirements for their networks. SGS capabilities assist terminal manufacturers meet these requirements.
Globally there are 16 specialised laboratories capable of this testing for converged devices, SGS are the global leaders having 4 of these facilities.
