Chronos Technology is exhibiting at the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEi) 2011
Chronos will exhibit GPS repeating systems as used within combat vehicles such as helicopters and armoured fighting vehicles, and additionally are used within hangars and bunkers to enhance mission effectiveness, situational awareness and survivability. Chronos offers full GPS repeater installation services for all military applications. A presentation on this topic will be delivered by Andy Proctor on Wednesday 14 September in Theatre One at 16:00 entitled Chronos Enhancing Mission Effectiveness.Chronos will also promote the SENTINEL project, a system researching the detection, quantification and location of interference to GNSS and eLoran signals at point of use. By deploying IDM (Interference, Detection & Mitigation) probes in the vicinity of critical infrastructure, detecting and discriminating between accidental, deliberate and natural phenomena including multipath and jamming to protect safety, SENTINEL is able to protect mission-critical, security or revenue generating services, enabled by PNT signals. Andy Proctor will be delivering a paper giving an overview of the SENTINEL system and its key applications on Thursday 15 September at 11:00 in Theatre Two.
Also on display will be the CTL3500 GPS interference monitor which has been designed to detect the presence of too much GPS satellite power or non-GPS signal and interference broadcasting on the satellite navigation L1 channel which could indicate inadvertent interference or intentional electronic warfare attacks intended to jam GPS signals.
A selection from the wide range of Chronos’ GPS receivers, test equipment, antennas and infrastructure will also be available on the stand together with our own range of bespoke GPS timing products.
About Chronos Technology
Chronos is a UK specialist technology company in the field of position, navigation and timing. Chronos supply GNSS (GPS) products from receivers for all application types including covert tracking, avionics, and embedded systems to test equipment (simulators) and GNSS infrastructure (antennas, splitters, repeaters) for the distribution of GNSS RF signals into sensitive environments. Chronos has developed a range of bespoke GPS timing products for time and frequency synchronisation in power and communication systems and is leading the Technology Strategy Board part-funded SENTINEL programme. Established in 1986, Chronos is also the UK leader in time and timing for fixed and mobile telecoms. For more information visit www.chronos.co.uk and www.gps-world.biz
