Cambridge Connection - A Tech Sector Trade Mission to Singapore - 16-18 June 2014
The visit is being organised by Cambridge Connection, a networking forum established by Taylor Vinters and Cambridge Capital Group to link the technology and VC investment communities of London, Cambridge and Oxford on the one hand and Singapore on the other. It aims to bring together the two communities to educate and to spark collaboration, partnering and investment opportunities. Last year saw entrepreneurs on the delegation find new investments, sign distribution agreements, meet potential suppliers and use the networking and pre-arranged meetings to get a deeper understanding of a variety of business opportunities in the Singapore and Asian markets.
The three-day visit will centre around a reception on Monday 16 June at Eden Hall, the British High Commissioner’s residence in Singapore, which will be hosted by Taylor Vinters and UKTI. At this reception there will be opportunities to promote your business to members of the investor and entrepreneurial community within the Singapore technology sector. Keynote addresses will also allow you to learn more about the Singapore technology and investment ecosystem.
On the 17 and 18 June the VIP delegation will have the opportunity to join pre-arranged meetings with VCs and other representatives from the Singapore technology and investor community including VC/incubators; Angels and other wealthy private individuals; UK Government Agencies and Singapore Agencies. The event has been organised to coincide with the International Communications and IT Exhibition and Conference, CommunicAsia 2014 at Marina Bay Sands, which runs 17-20 June.
Under the UKTI’s Market Visit Support programme financial support of £650 (per business) is likely to be available for each delegate, which can be used towards the cost of the flights and other expenses of the trip.
