Beecham Research opens new London office in Tech City

Wearable tech and IoT drive growth

Beecham Research, a leading UK technology market research, analysis and consulting firm, has opened a new office in the Tech City area of Shoreditch, London. Staff at the new office will focus on rapidly emerging markets, including Wearable Technology and the Internet of Things (IoT). The location of the new office is designed to take advantage of a growing collaborative environment in the area for the high tech and creative industries.

“Beecham Research is increasingly a multidisciplinary team, incorporating strong creative, commercial, market and technology skills. Emerging markets like Wearable Technology, the Internet of Things, Digital Retail, Smart Homes and the Connected Car are not just about technology, but how they are accepted and used by all of us, whether at home or at work,“ said Saverio Romeo, Principal Analyst at Beecham Research. “These challenges require the fashion, retail and technology industries to work much more collaboratively to ensure real market success. We chose this area of London for our new office because of its proximity to many technology companies as well as a wide variety of creative businesses and individuals. Shoreditch is the diverse and multidisciplinary hub that fits our research vision.”

Beecham Research will be publishing its latest reports on the future of Wearable Technology and on Smart Parking in Cities shortly. The company is an official research partner for The Wearable Technology Show in London on 18 and 19th March www.wearabletechnologyshow.net.

Beecham Research also specialises in the M2M (machine-to-machine) and IoT markets, providing consulting and research services to many leading telcos, mobile device and software vendors, resellers and trade associations, as well as companies looking to develop new connected product and service offerings.

“The Connected Devices market – incorporating M2M, Internet of Things and Wearable Technology – has been predicted to grow to 50 billion installed devices by 2020. Nevertheless it is still at the stage of understanding how it can create a dynamic, robust and secure global infrastructure to support everything from smart cities to smart homes and vehicles,” said Robin Duke-Woolley, Founder and CEO of Beecham Research. “Our role is to strip the hype from the reality and help companies to harness the real opportunities presented by the Internet of Things. A multidisciplinary and collaborative approach with industry is increasingly vital for achieving this.”
