EE Eyes Tri-band Carrier Aggregation

EE is planning to aggregate a third carrier for its LTE-Advanced network, increasing the theoretical peak speed to more than 400 Mbps.

"That is being planned at the moment," said EE's chief network architect Andy Sutton, at a press briefing in London on Thursday. He was vague when it came it to a timeframe but Total Telecom understands the network will be ready to go either by the end of the year or early in 2015. The launch ultimately depends on the availability of compatible devices though.
