Antenova M2M appoints Rob Orford as European Sales Manager
3rd July 2014 Hatfield, UK –Antenova M2M, the specialist manufacturer of standard embedded surface mount antennas and RF antenna modules, has appointed Rob Orford as European Sales Manager.
The company is seeing strong growth in its core M2M markets, and Rob Orford is to take responsibility for Antenova’s established distribution network throughout the European countries, South Africa and Russia, and direct OEM customers as well. Reporting to Director and VP of Sales Colin Newman, Rob will be promoting Antenova’s high performance RF antennas, which are designed specifically for M2M wireless connected applications and consumer electronic devices. Rob has specialised in working with RF antennas to date, having started out as a Principal RF Engineer for GEC Plessey, then working in sales roles with March Microwave, BFI Ibexsa (ACAL) and most recently with Anaren Microwave.
Colin Newman, Director and VP of Sales at Antenova M2M explains: “The M2M market is predicted to reach Euro 40 billion by 2017 and presents a great opportunity for our antennas which we have designed specifically for M2M. They are small, highly efficient, and cost effective covering multiple bands. Rob Orford brings the ideal experience for this role - a very good technical background in RF and wireless antennas, and great experience managing distributors and OEMs.” Antenova has already established a leading position in the market for connected devices, and a track record in wireless M2M. The company is seeing sales grow after implementing a new business structure last year, and will be exhibiting its latest range of antennas at Electronica in Munich in November.
