Ofcom publishes a call for input on the Internet of Things
On 23 July 2014, Ofcom published a call for input on promoting investment and innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT). Views are sought from stakeholders on a range of policy issues, including spectrum, network resilience, security and data privacy. In addition, Ofcom is interested in views on whether there ways in which they could adopt a more proactive role, to ensure that the UK takes a leading role in the development of the IoT.
The call for input is open until 1 October and Ofcom is keen for as wide an engagement from stakeholders is possible. The call for input, along with instructions of how to respond, can be found here. If you'd like to contact Ofcom to discuss the call for input, or the IoT more generally, please email [email protected].
