WebRTC Training Course
As a well-known industry analyst Dean Bubley from Disruptive Analysis pointed out, “VoLTE = Telephony 1.0, VoLTE + WebRTC = Telephony 2.0”.
Web Real-Time Communication (a.k.a. WebRTC) is a free, open project that enables web browsers with Real-Time Communications (RTC) capabilities via simple JavaScript APIs. Web is still largely a black hole for RTC and that degrades the user experience. Integration of telephony and web as required. An example would be online webinars where each of them often requires awkward software installation steps.
With WebRTC you can create a much more fluid experience. WebRTC standards are set to revolutionize real time communication by enabling conversational voice and video services to be accessed via the web browser without the need for downloads or plug-ins. WebRTC can provide frictionless VoIP and collaboration services that challenge or complement the incumbent players. WebRTC has a multitude of applications in domains including shopping, customer support, gaming and social networking. The WebRTC standard provides a lot of flexibility in how services are designed and deployed. This means that WebRTC programmers and system designers must make difficult decisions during the design process. This course gives a practical grounding in WebRTC. It highlights the key service design decisions and suggests how they could be tackled in different scenarios.
