The name reflects our focus on providing backhaul for metrocells – small cells in dense urban hotspots, where the primary requirement is to increase network capacity. And it reflects the evolution towards HetNets, which combine macrocells, small cells and WiFi into a single coordinated network with seamless handoff between them. Backhaul will be a key enabler in this new network architecture and CCS Metnet, with its unique self-organising capabilities, aims to be a leading solution in the market.
