Tech Trade Mission to Singapore Led by UK Law Firm

Law firm Taylor Vinters announces its third TechConnection event, introducing high-growth UK technology companies to Singapore as a business gateway to Asia.

Taylor Vinters is launching its third annual TechConnection event in Singapore on 22 September 2015 to showcase emerging British technology talent and to facilitate introductions to potential strategic partners and venture capital investors in Singapore, the world’s first *Smart Nation.

Henry Goodwin, a Singapore-based Partner at Taylor Vinters, said:

Our TechConnection event will, connect ambitious UK technology companies with investors, businesses and government agencies which can act as valuable partners in any overseas expansion into the ASEAN region.”

The TechConnection event is run in partnership with both the British and Singaporean governments, via UK Trade & Investment, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. Funding for attendance to the event is available for eligible businesses by UK Trade & Investment.

The TechConnection event will be followed by a reception hosted by His Excellency Scott Wightman, British High Commissioner to Singapore, and is run in partnership with a number of respected business organisations.

This year, TechConnection is an official fringe event to TechVenture, one of Asia’s leading tech events, which promises to provide British delegates with a series of unparalleled networking opportunities. Taylor Vinters established TechConnection in 2013 in response to demand from technology clients for support in partnering and launching enterprise operations in Asia.

Last week, UK Prime Minister David Cameron urged ambitious British companies to explore South-East Asia’s “vast and dynamic market” during his trade mission to the ASEAN region, including Singapore; £750m in deals are expected to be brokered during the trip. In November last year, London Mayor Boris Johnson also spearheaded a delegation of UK FinTech (Financial Technology) companies to Singapore.
