Andy Sutton Appointed to New Role at Ofcom

Andy Sutton joins Ofcom as the Infrastructure and Connectivity Group as Director of Technology and Mobile

Cambridge Wireless (CW) is pleased to share that Andy Sutton has taken up a new role at Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator. Andy is joining the Infrastructure and Connectivity Group as Director of Technology and Mobile. 

Andy is well known across the CW community for his long-standing contribution to the UK telecoms and digital ecosystem, as a SIG Champion, bringing deep expertise across spectrum policy, wireless technologies, and industry collaboration. His move to Ofcom marks an important next step in a career dedicated to supporting innovation, competition and the effective use of communications infrastructure in the UK.

In his new position, Andy will be working within Ofcom’s regulatory framework to help shape policy and oversight in an area that remains critical to the future of connectivity, digital services, and economic growth. His appointment comes at a time of rapid technological change, with continued advances in mobile networks, spectrum usage and emerging wireless technologies.
