CW AI SIG launches conversation-stimulating event series
This series of events, brought to you by the CW Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group, has been set up to give the AI community a new forum to discuss and debate ideas, stimulated by people who have written something interesting on the uses and applications of AI. The series will, over time, cultivate a sense of community among the delegates.
Based on the popular book club format, delegates will be signposted to something to read from within the field of AI before each session - typically be a blog post or a white paper – or sometimes an extract from a chapter of a book. For the first event on Thursday 20 May, the stimulus is an article written by Gabrielczyk in AI Business: "Edge first will be the dominant model for intelligent systems of the future". There is additional reading material for those interested - Cambridge Consultants' white paper "The future of AI is at the edge". Authors are being asked to lead each discussion, but if they are unavailable then the SIG Champions will lead the debate.
Each event will start at 5PM UK time and last about an hour. They will be hosted in the Remo virtual networking platform which is great at cultivating communities of interest and encouraging informal networking.
If you are unable to make the first event but would like to stay informed about upcoming activities from the AI SIG, sign up to the CW newsletter.
