Qualcomm QCC74x Chipset Series: Advanced Functional Integration
Following the introduction of Wi-Fi IoT module solutions based on the Qualcomm® QCC730 (Wi-Fi4) as well as Qualcomm® QCC743 and Qualcomm® QCC744 (Wi-Fi6) chipset families, the portfolio is now being expanded with two additional module solutions. These new modules also support USB and are based on the Qualcomm® QCC748 (Wi-Fi6) chipset family.
Tri-Connectivity and RISC-V Architecture for Integrated Applications
The Qualcomm QCC74x chipset series is generally based on a RISC-V architecture (325MHz, FPU + DSP) and offers not only Wi-Fi6, but also Bluetooth® 5.4 wireless technology and IEEE 802.15.4 (Zigbee, Thread) connectivity. Thanks to its integrated multimedia features as well as numerous digital and analog interfaces, this product family is particularly well-suited for applications requiring a high level of functional integration while maintaining optimized costs – for example, smart appliances, industrial IoT, smart home devices, medical devices, and IoT hubs/gateways.

Enhanced Memory and Interface Options in the QCC748M Module
The QCC748M module version – like the QCC744M – features 484KB SRAM, 4MB pSRAM (SiP), and 8MB NOR Flash, significantly surpassing the memory configuration of the more cost-effective QCC743M (484KB RAM + 4MB NOR Flash). All modules in this series are characterized by a consistent interface design. Additionally, the QCC748M offers a USB 2.0 interface, which is not available on the other modules. The QCC748M is also available in two antenna configurations and is 100% pin-compatible with the QCC744M.
