Dejan is a senior consultant advising a range of clients across both public and private sectors. His particular focus is development of open and shared digital infrastructure to support product development and service transformation within complex innovation ecosystems. Until recently Dejan worked at the UK government's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) where he led the technology advisory team within the Future Networks Programme. A firm believer in creating value through collaboration between public and private sectors and across technology layers, Dejan’s aspiration as a SIG Champion is to shine a spotlight on market innovation opportunities through CW’s uniquely rich network of experts and influencers.
Paul is a telecoms technologist. He is a member of the Cambridge Wireless Board and became CEO in November 2022. He was Director of Network Research at BT, a member of the Telco Infra Project board and Wireless Broadband Alliance board. His career includes work in Europe and the USA, building and launching telecommunication joint-ventures.
Paul is a visiting professor at the University of Surrey, Institute for Communications Systems. He is passionate about the benefits of telecommunications, a common theme in his current work is to help drive telecommunications skills and capabilities in the UK.

Paul is a wireless technology expert with experience across a range of areas including research, design, implementation and standardisation. He received his PhD from the University of Bristol for evaluating the performance of massive MIMO technology in the lead-up to 5G and is currently a Principal Wireless Architect within the CTO Office at VIAVI Solutions providing thought leadership on new and emerging technologies for 5G, 6G and beyond. In line with this he represents VIAVI within a range of bodies and fora including 3GPP, the O-RAN Alliance, ETSI, the Next G Alliance, the 6G-IA and the UKTIN. His experience prior to joining VIAVI includes representing Vodafone within 3GPP for radio performance aspects, contributing to the development of massive MIMO channel estimation solutions at Cohere Technologies, and working with customers as a domain expert at National Instruments to establish effective research solutions using software-defined radio. He is also a Chartered Engineer, Senior Member of the IEEE, Fellow of the ITP, and an Honorary Industrial Fellow at the University of Bristol.

Rachel joined CW (Cambridge Wireless) in June 2017 as Senior Events & Conference Manager and is now Head of Events. Working alongside industry experts in the Special Interest Groups and the CW event team, Rachel overseas the strategy and delivery for the CW programme of events. She coordinated the inaugural Inclusive Innovation Conference in September 2017 which launched CW’s D&I initiative and manages the CW International Conference (CWIC), the CW Technology & Engineering Conference (CWTEC) and Cambridge Tech Week (CTW). Rachel has over 12 years’ experience running conferences and events, previous roles include event management for a not-for-profit organisation dealing with career and skills development, working for a press monitoring company and, ‘back in the day’ she worked at a very rock-n-roll recording & rehearsal studio.

Nykki Rogers is a leader with over 30 years of experience spanning the private and public sector having worked in start-ups, spin-outs, multinationals, and government. Her first role in a product design consultancy provided unique insights into global R&D, product development cycles through to commercialisation. She has worked in multiple industries from EV battery manufacturing, digital media, biotech and FMCG to venture capital and entrepreneurial communities - helping businesses from early-stage innovators to global corporations scale and internationalise.
Her career bridges Cambridge and London’s world-class innovation ecosystems, where she has played a pivotal role in advancing foreign-direct investment into the UK, building the operational platforms for early-stage technology companies, and supporting the commercial real-estate development of innovation districts in Cambridge, Manchester, London and Glasgow.
Nykki’s 15 years in the life sciences sector, including at Amgen, provided a strong industry foundation before she went on to lead national inward investment strategies at the Department for Business and Trade. As former COO of DIT’s Life Sciences Organisation, she co-authored UK sector strategies that catalysed increased FDI and guided hundreds of companies in establishing a UK presence.
In her current role with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, Nykki leads the team of sector growth champions, overseeing strategies aligned to regional and national priorities, while supporting founders, investors, and multinational leaders to unlock opportunities for innovation-driven economic growth.
