CWIC2020 inaugurates CW Edge Week with Huawei foreword to the UK tech community
The CW International Conference (CWIC), a flagship event for Cambridge's world-renowned technology community, has opened its virtual door to the global technology community inaugurating the CW’s Edge Week spanning three immersive event days including CWTEC: Demystifying the Edge, the CW’s deep-tech conference designed specifically for engineers and held on 23 and 24 September 2020.
Joey Pan, Director of Industry and Public Affairs at Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, and the Platinum Sponsor of the CW Edge Week, set the scene for the event with a welcome speech addressing Cambridge and the broader UK tech ecosystem.
Stressing the importance of industry collaboration for the economy, Pan shared how Huawei sees the 5G technology transforming the lives of people and businesses in the UK, offering expertise and tech knowledge driving ubiquitous connectivity to future partners.
Celebrating its 20th year in the UK, Huawei will be present as part of the CW Edge Week at the CW TEC Conference where the tech audience will hear from Paul Scanlan, Huawei’s Chief Technology Officer.
